=== Accomodation

First up it's worth mentioning that there isn't any accomodation in Sussex University itself, as all student accomodation given over to 9- or 11-month leases (not heard anything back from the accomodation office about spare rooms there either), so it'll be a matter of finding alternative accomodation in the Brighton area.

Abigail's google group would be the best place to start looking for accomodation, as students and friends of students with spare rooms to offer or rent will be putting details up on there.

There are also holiday flats companies in Brighton (such as this, but there are others to be searched for), which might be an idea if there are a group of you (or you can get people together via the google group). This is probably the cheapest way to rent if you can get the people together.

Brighton also has a few hostels, the three that I know of being

There are other hostels in the area you can track down throgh Google too.

I don't know much about the Bed&Breakfasts and hotels in Brighton though, but there are many of them. There are a few big chain hotels (the PremierLodge and the Travelinn spring to mind) and there are several really big hotels on the seafront (the Grand and the Metropole being the priciest).

Finally it's worth mentioning that looking for places to stay in Lewes is also an option. Lewes is the next stop on from Falmer on the train from Brighton, and it's got a castle, history and lots of good pubs. However it's also much smaller town than Brighton, so options for cheap accoomodation may be more limited there.
